Osteopathy is a primary care profession, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders and the effects of these conditions on your general health.

Cranial Osteopathy

An advanced, delicate form of treatment, which encourages the release of stress and tension in the body. Cranial Osteopathy is not limited to treatment of the head, as the name suggests, but can be used on any area in the body.

Painless Nail Surgery

Painless Nail surgery is a ‘surgical procedure’ under local anaesthetic. As in dentistry, the toe is numbed first, before a tourniquet (to prevent blood flow) is put around the toe. Phenol is put onto the ingrown toenail to prevent re-growth, which should make it painless.

Homeopathy

Like should be treated with like – a diseased state is cured by a medicine which can produce similar symptoms in a healthy person: Coffee is known to cause sleeplessness and agitation in some people, so when made into a homeopathic medicine, it could be used to treat people with those symptoms.

Paedeatric Osteopathy

Birth is one of the most stressful events of life. An infant is subjected to enormous pressure, with the soft skull being moulded and the head twisted and turned during the force of contractions. The secondary effects of unresolved cranial compressions are wide ranging and can lead to many complications.

Relexology

Reflexology is a powerful natural health science that studies the relationship of the reflex areas in the feet, hands and ears to the rest of the body so that these areas can be worked on with the fingers and thumbs in a manner that will lead to improved health and the maintenance of good health.

Ifield

Ifield is a village-like suburb home to Ifield Watermill, built in the early 1800s. Fed by a pond rich in bird and amphibian life, the mill still operates several days a year and has photo and information exhibits. Stained-glass windows and a graveyard with weathered headstones can be seen at St. Margaret’s, a medieval parish church. Ifield Barn Theatre stages amateur productions, including a Christmas pantomime.
