Ollie has a Master’s degree in Osteopathy from the Marjon University, Plymouth, but he is a local lad! Growing up with an extensive sporting background, he found his calling in osteopathy—a perfect blend of sports and healthcare.
During his time playing rugby among many other sports, he faced and witnessed numerous injuries. These experiences opened his eyes to the profound impact injuries can have on both hobbies we love and professional careers. This realisation fuelled his desire to become an osteopath, allowing him to help those in pain or injured; empathising and understanding patients’ fears and frustrations, using personal experiences to guide his practice.
As an osteopath, Ollie employs a holistic, hands-on and patient-centred approach to treatment. He believes in addressing the whole person, not just the symptoms, whilst highlighting the importance of exercise rehabilitation, not only to reimburse the treatment but also for further recurring injury prevention.
Outside of Ollie’s professional life, he enjoys watching rugby and recently found a love for running and hiking. These activities keep him grounded and fuels his enthusiasm for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
Wendy Lavelle2024-06-01 I was apprehensive about going but the pain I had was getting me down. The receptionist was lovely, I got a same day appointment with Olly, he made me feel at ease and explained what my muscles were doing and taught me exercises to do at home, after treatment I felt like a new woman. I have often thought about going to an Osteopath but always felt nervous, wish I had gone years ago, he was absolutely brilliant and I definitely recommend him. Dave Dickenson2024-04-08 So warm and welcoming .And totally professional . Alan Peckham2024-04-03 Had an appointment with Ollie this afternoon, he was excellent. Explained exactly what the problem with my leg was and gave me advice on preventing the condition getting worse. Ollie worked on the hamstring in my right leg, explaining what he was doing and why. Yes it was painful and he acknowledged that, Ollie pushed me further than I would have pushed myself but the results were worth the discomfort.
